FRONT OF STAGE BARRIER SAFETY WORKSHOP

OVERVIEW

This course includes a practical demonstration and it is suitable for both workers and supervisors, including:

  • Crew/staff who typically set up barriers.
  • Engineers who might be asked to sign off on barriers.
  • Venue managers/operators who have barriers brought into their building.
  • Event persons from municipalities who require barriers for various public events.
  • Security persons who may work on and around barriers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understanding the purpose of the front of stage pit barrier.
  • Being able to protect the health and safety of individuals within the barrier system.
  • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of colleagues.
  • Being able to recognize audience activity and respond appropriately while working in the front of stage pit barrier.
