BUILDING AND READYING YOUR INCIDENT COMMAND ROOM WORKSHOP
October 20, 2024 | Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel | Vancouver, British Columbia
OVERVIEW
This hands-on workshop will explore the fundamental roles of an incident command room and provide participants with a high-level overview of key considerations related to severe weather, crowds, emergency situations, and other hazards that you should be planning to manage at your events. Participants will work in teams to conduct risk assessments and develop incident action plans for their real-world events. This will require research to understand all the conditions of the assigned event so participants are encouraged to bring their laptops. Throughout this exercise our subject matter experts (Bryan Huneycutt, Dr. Kevin Kloesel and Kevin Tanner) will circulate to provide guidance and insights as the groups work towards presenting their incident command plans at the end of the day.
